MONEY FOR COLLEGE!

Advantage Bank first established the “Advantage Bank Scholarships” at RSC in 2005 to encourage our local students to take advantage of the excellent academic offerings, proximity, and supportive atmosphere of Rose State College . This year the College plans to attach our Scholarships to the Community Scholars Leadership Program.  This allows us to increase the number of scholarships we award to four $550 book stipends ($275 Fall/$275 Spring).  The Advantage Bank Community Scholars will participate in leadership development activities throughout the year and be mentored by RSC Faculty and Staff members.  Graduating high school seniors from the following high schools are eligible to apply: Star Spencer, Choctaw High, and Carl Albert.

These students are also eligible to receive Ticket to Rose benefits which will cover ALL tuition and fees.  The Advantage Bank Community Scholar Book Stipend will allow students to purchase $275 per semester in books, above and beyond any Ticket to Rose or other financial aid benefit a student receives.  Although the Advantage Bank Community Scholar Book Stipend is for the first year, students with acceptable progress will continue to receive Ticket to Rose benefits and may be offered to participate in RSC Leadership activities their second year.

The awards are made for the academic year. The current application period is January 1 to March 2, for the following Fall/Spring academic year.  Students may apply on-line at www.rose.edu. Click on Student Services, click on the SCHOLARSHIPS button, then choose Leadership Scholarships on the right.

  • be citizens or permanent residents of the United States;

  • enroll in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for each semester of the award;
